How many people can stay?

We have 2 large en-suite bedrooms & welcome a maximum of 4 guests + 2 young children sharing. A maximum of 4 adults may stay.

Do you accept dogs?

No, we have chosen to be a pet-free property since opening.

Are you child-friendly?

Yes, absolutely! We have 2 children of our own and it’s a great area for kids. We provide a travel cot, high-chair, booster seat, bed-rail & child-friendly tableware & cutlery. The children will love the play area and indoor pool just moments away too!

What time is check-in? / what time is check-out?

Our standard check-in time is 4pm & check-out time is 10am to allow for the necessary cleaning and hot tub routines between guest stays.

If we do not have a same day changeover we will let you know at the time if we are able to extend at all.

Is there a minimum stay?

Generally we have a minimum stay of 3 nights to offer the best value all round given the cost & time required for the hot tub & cleaning at the end of each stay. In low season and where other bookings allow, we will offer 2 night stays.

In peak season a& over Christmas / New Year holidays a longer minimum stay may apply.

Is it OK to arrive late? / Do you have self check-in?

Yes, that’s no problem at all. As we have smart door locks we will send you the code on the day of your arrival so you are free to arrive at a time that suits you after the agreed check-in time.

How do I book? / Are you on AirBNB? / Why Book Direct?

Guests are encouraged to Book Direct with the owner via the “Book Now” button at the top of each page of this website. This will take you directly to the Live Calendar which will show all available dates & rates beneath your selected dates.

Teal Lodge Cornwall is also listed on AirBNB and VRBO to enable us to reach more potential guests. However, given you’ve found our primary website, by booking direct rather than through AirBNB or VRBO, you are assured of the best rates where neither host nor guest has to pay expensive commissions

What is the deposit? / What are the payment terms?

Our standard deposit via the online booking system is 20% and the balance is due 60 days before arrival.

However, for stays starting more than 6 months away we are happy to accept a 10% deposit to secure the dates.

We are also happy to take payment in instalments from guests wishing to spread the cost of their holiday. Please contact us if you would like to take advantage of either of these options

All our availability is shown live on the online booking system linked to this website

Please click on “Book Now” on the top right of any page, enter your preferred arrival date and then hit “Search”. If the dates are available the options & rates will show below the calendar

If your chosen date is not available then, if you have any flexibility on arrival date, please select any green date to see the options.

If the dates appear to be available but you are unable to select your preferred duration, please don’t hesitate to contact us as the system can only show a limited number of options so we will try to accommodate if we can, bearing in mind other bookings in place.

How much is it per night?

We do not have a fixed nightly rate primarily as the hot tub & cleaning costs are fixed per stay not per night so it is always relatively better value to stay for a longer period than a few days.

Additionally, we offer considerably reduced rates at quieter times of year, in particular from November to March, as demand in Cornwall is somewhat seasonal but we are open as a holiday let year round

Is the hot tub private / included / always on?

Yes! The private hot tub is on the rear deck and is only for use by guests of Teal Lodge Cornwall.

It is cleaned and refilled between each stay and checked daily by our specialist contractor.

The temperature is set to a consistent 38-40C so all you need to do is turn on the jets & the lights as you wish :-)

What facilities are available at the resort?

It’s a smaller resort which has a great heated indoor pool, children’s play area, bar, restaurant, small arcade & occasional entertainment (primarily during peak season)

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, we have installed a private Wi-Fi system specifically for Teal Lodge Cornwall bearing in mind the limited access available on the site - and in the wider area generally

We feel this has made a material difference but please remember that you are in rural Cornwall so speed, access & reliability will vary, cannot be guaranteed & may not be what you are used to.

Are passes required to use the Pool?

No, the resort facilities are all available to guests of Teal Lodge Cornwall at no additional cost. Reservations may be required.

Are you open in the winter /are you open all year?

Yes, Teal Lodge Cornwall is available as a holiday let year-round.

The wider resort typically closes from November to February so as we manage Teal Lodge independently this just means an even quieter resort with only private owners & their guests on-site!

Naturally this may mean reduced opening time for resort facilities, in particular the restaurant & bar. Typically the heated indoor pool remains open over the winter unless maintenance is required.

The availability of resort facilities is outside of our control and, as such, cannot be guaranteed nor grounds for cancellation or refund should such facilities not be available for any reason

Do you offer winter lets, month-long stays or longer-term bookings?

Yes, we are open to doing so particularly during the quieter winter months & have been happy to welcome guests from residential parks who need to vacate their homes for a period each year

How far is it to the beach?

The wonderful Perranporth beach is our closest at less than 4 miles away & can be reached in 10-15 minutes by car

We are blessed to be surrounded by many other stunning sandy beaches including Holywell Bay, Crantock, St Agnes, and all the Newquay beaches. All these are within 5-10 miles of Teal Lodge Cornwall.
